I know there are a few dads out there who are into home brew. Anton, a dad I met at dadstayshome.com has been brewing his own beer for some time now. He has posted a great article for all those who are new to home brewing and provides some great tips to get you started.
Here is a summary of the article and what you will find:
Here’s what you need:
- 3-5 gallon pot with lid
- long spoon
- grain bag (cheese cloth, or nylon) if your kit comes with grains
- clean and sanitized primary fermenter
- airlock
- funnel
- beer kit
These would be nice:
- undefined undefinedthermometer
- hydrometer
- a few bottles of beer
He then explains each of the following steps:
1) Steep
2) Boil
3) Chill
4) Pitch
5) Ferment
6) Bottle

Hey, a few days late for comment, but what the heck. Its a hobby that I highly suggest for everyone that likes a good beer! :D Thanks for the mention, Steve!
