What Would We Do Without Mothers?
I was talking with my mom on the phone last night and she likes coming to my blog here and reading my stuff. I think a lot of it has to do with her wanting to see photos of her grandchildren. Since she is living in the sunny south she only gets to really see us in the summer time when she is on vacation from teaching.
I am sure she likes my writing too… ahem… yeah I would think so.
But anyhow, I was talking with her on the phone last night and I came to a conclusion that she should be blogging. She sort of acts as my assistant. We’ll be talking along and she’ll say, “Oh remember your post about the kids and the dirty diaper?” for instance. I will say something like, “yep I sure do.” She’ll then ask me if I saw so-and-so’s comment.
She will also tell me to go to Google and type in a few words and there will be other sites that pop up related to what I do that I should seriously check out. She is totally into this blogging thing. She even told me last night what I should blog about. I wonder if I should hire her as my assistant blogger. Maybe I should have her make me a list and send it to me Monday morning and that way I can just go down through the list and blog on the topics she shoves under my nose.
You know a true blogger when you are in mid-stride of life and BAM, you immediately think how what you are doing would make a great blog post. I was telling my mom about what my kids were up to and it made her laugh. She told me I should blog about. Maybe I will and maybe I won’t, but she is full of great ideas.
What would we do without our moms looking after us?

My mom reads my blog, but won’t admit it. I only know because her IP shows up in my stats. I think she’s spying on me, trying to catch me being a “bad parent” or something. It’s a little mystifying why she can’t just give me a compliment about the blog.
Weird thing… My mother-in-law does the same thing. I see her in my stats, reading from her workplace. She checks in almost every day, yet has never said one word about my blog.
I’ve been toying with the idea of writing some off-the-wall post just to see if it gets a reaction from either of them.

I think that’s what I need… a blog assistant, though it can’t be my Mom, like Dadstayshome, she doesn’t know anything about these “new fangled” contraptions!

I think we would be in a heap of trouble without our moms. After all, who would tell us that we are being selfish or harping on something if it weren’t for our moms. You have a good one. Enjoy her while you have her.
