The Best and Worst SAHD Moments From Patrick

by steve on October 11th, 2006

I have been asking current Stay at Home Dads to send me their “Best and Worst” moments of their job. I have been getting some good responses and I thank those who have sent me their stuff. We recently have heard from Dennis, Chris, and Louis.

Today we hear from Patrick…

Best
That truthful answer for me is that I just love to stay home and take care of the house. I love to fix things around here and make improvements. Also I just love knowing that I don’t have to go to work in the traditional sense. I was in the work force playing all the silly games people play at work like the rest of America but now I get to get up in the morning with out the stress of commuting to work and run my day the way that I like most of the time. And as an added bonus I have a little buddy to share it all with. I freedom to run my day how I see fit is what I like best about being a Stay at home Dad.

Worst
The worst part of being at home has to be empting the dishwasher on a daily basis. It is by far my most boring, loathing thing that I do. The next thing is being at home during the winter months as this is when I get a bit stir crazy and hope for an early spring. You have to get out as a stay at home parent or like me you will get grumpy and hard to live with.
