by steve on October 6th, 2006

First and foremost, the most active forum based community for dads who are staying home can be found at dadstayshome.com… lot’s of fun discussions. To enter the Pub you need to get permission. Must be a dad…

One of the first dad blogs to hit the web is Rebel Dad. Good list of resources and I believe he keeps up to date on conventions, etc.

On to books.

There are 3 books I recommend Stay at Home Dads read. The first one, believe it or not is written by a woman.
Stay-At-Home Dads: The Essential Guide to Creating the New Family

The other 2 books are written by men from experience.

The Stay at Home Dad Handbook has a good basic layout of the essentials needed for preparing and surviving the hardships of the SAHD role. His website can be found at At Home Dad.
The Stay-at-Home Dad Handbook

Lastly…

How Tough Could It Be?: The Trials and Errors of a Sportswriter Turned Stay-at-Home Dad
