Preserve your pumpkins

From Mahalo.com there’s a great primer on how to carve a killer pumpkin. There are an infinite number of possibilities for pumpkin decorations, but one unique thing this page tells you is how to preserve that killer pumpkin you’ve just carved.

Rub vaseline or petroleum jelly on all of the carved edges. This will help prevent the moisture loss that can lead to shriveling.
