Poop lexicon
Since the arrival of our newborn, the number of conversations regarding poop in which I have taken part has skyrocketed. It seems relatively unavoidable as it is medically important to pay attention to your child’s digestive activity. However, I didn’t think I would become so casual about it so quickly.
I have incorporated a number of new terms into my baby poop lexicon including “butt thunder” and “Dijon diaper” among others. As new as these words are to me, they are quite natural at this point in my life. Poop management will be part of my life for some time to come, so I might as well talk the talk.
I tend to forget there was a time in my life when yelling “where’s the butt paste?” to my wife was not something I ever did, I just have to make sure my altered vocabulary doesn’t follow me to the office.
