Over a Foot of Snow Fell Last Night
Well, I guess we paid for a mild Fall season. Spring just doesn’t seem to want to get here. We were told last night we would get anywhere between 4 and 8 inches of snow. I woke up, rolled over, and flipped on the TV. All the cancellations were rolling at the bottom of the screen and over a foot of snow was blanketing the ground. And it was still coming down… supposed to continue all morning. Don’t believe me? Here are some pictures I took of our little table in the yard, our canoe on the canoe rack and the Isuzu parked in the driveway.
Here is a little table we have outside of our house with a couple chairs. Look on top of the table and tell me how much snow is on there. We had no snow prior to the storm.

Here is my canoe on the canoe rack I made a couple years ago.

Check out the Isuzu parked in the driveway. Behind it is my woodpile covered with a tarp.

Sweet memories and nice photos.
The latest I recall having snow was June 30 near Kathadin Ironworks in Central Maine in the 1960’s. The mini blizzard blew in on a sunny day, dropped an inch of snow, and the sun was out 10 minutes later.
Another day later it would have been July and close to the comment about Maine having just 2 seasons: “Winter and the 4th of July”.
