New Stay at Home Dad
Well I have been seeing it more and more. Dads are either at home a lot more or almost permanently. It is either a sudden shocking move, such as my position where I put in my 2 weeks notice and then BAM, I haven’t been employed in over 3 years. Or it is a slow process where the dad stays home more and more until one day you find yourself sacked out at home while mom brings home the bacon.
But let’s all welcome Jerry Steele to the new Stay at Home Dad club. If there is any assistence we can help you with… then we’ll do the best we can. 1st advice, get a nice cool diaper bag. One of my biggest pet peeves when I first started staying home was the diaper bag. Man, I didn’t want to be seen in public with that thing. Kid decorated and everything. Sorry folks but the diaper bag is not a toy and not for the baby, it is for the grown up such as myself. So get a nice black or gray diaper back and stock it like a guy. I even posted one here not too long ago.

I’ll be working a lot of days from home between now and the middle of December. Maybe I’m starting to ease my way very slowly into SAHD status in a very slow process. At this rate I should be a full time SAHD by 2060, give or take.
