My baby is eating my brain

by Bill on December 27th, 2007

I couldn’t find the words to finish my sentence and took a long pause, other people in the meeting started looking at me.

“That baby is eating my brain.” Everyone in the conference room laughed, but I was serious. I think he might be part zombie. The noises he makes when burping him or moving him around sound like either something from Dawn of the Dead, so he may very well be.

He slept for 4 hours straight last night, which was a record, but I need more before he takes me down.  Making sure he’s well fed, right up to the top, is instrumental in getting him to sleep well, but Be A Good Dad has a great list of ways get kids to sleep through the night. I’m in the process of tattooing it to my forearm.

I promise it gets better! Hang in there and take as many naps as possible. I have actually had a baby sitter so that I could sleep. That might be an option you might want to give yourself for a belated Christmas gift.

hahahahahaha! Your thinker will likely never return to normal. Your wife’s definately never will because “MAMAMAMAMAMAMAMA” will interupt every thought.

The other day my little brother - who has wanted to know what my problem with money was admitted “man it really is a lot more expensive when you have a baby.”
