My family and I spent this weekend at my cousin’s wedding (congrats Joe and Holly!) which provided me some valuable time with my older brother. He lives 400 miles away, which makes time together hard to come by, but always enjoyable.

Blogger extraordinaire Darren Rowse, above and beyond his web achievements, is a father. A stay at home father at that.
In a recent interview Darren says that “work life balances” are one of the toughest things he’s faced as a stay at home dad. He makes an interesting point that a tendency to overwork is just […]

I know my wife and I have talked about possibly home schooling our kids. The reason we have decided against it are 2 factors. 1) Our school system has one of the best education programs in the entire country and 2) The person who would be doing the teaching would be myself and I am […]

I probably shouldn’t be giving this advice as my house is always in complete ruins, but maybe it just means I have more experience when it comes to dealing with clutter. Either way, you can take my advice or leave it. I know with 5 kids running around the house and the oldest being 7 […]

Some days just never go right no matter how hard you try to make it go right. Maybe that’s the problem. Maybe once something goes bad you try to counteract it and possibly over compensate a bit causing something else to go wrong. I guess I would have to agree to a certain extent but […]

I remember telling people that one of the best parts of being a stay at home dad is the fact you can do home projects and do things yourself. Now for those who are handy of course this would benefit you. Unfortunately I am not a very handy guy. Big downfall for the wife. She […]
