Shar Jackson says K-Fed is ‘An amazing father.’

A few days back I mentioned that K-Fed topped a People Magazine poll of the top ‘Cad to Dad’ for stepping up as Britney Spears crumbled. A reader mentioned that he was a good father in relation to his kids with Britney, but what about his kids with Shar Jackson?
Well according to ExtraTV.com, Shar […]

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie expecting?

Brad Pitt always said he wanted a big enough family for a soccer team, and apparently that is something he and Angelina Jolie are actually working towards. Rumors have it that Brangelina are expecting a baby, which would make number five for the couple.
Apparently Jolie canceled a speaking engagement in Italy last week and […]

Chief Family Officer, the omniscient lead toy recall source, has posted about another seven toy recalls. Six of them for dangerous lead exposure and one for a head injury risk.

Helping pregnant wives

My wife is pregnant. Very pregnant. “I can’t tie my own shoes” kind of pregnant.
I came across a post on Be A Good Dad this morning about helping out a pregnant wife who is 39 weeks. While my wife is only a few weeks further away from her due date, I’m constantly trying to figure […]

Rub vaseline or petroleum jelly on all of the carved edges. This will help […]

Germs, germs, germs.

InsideMotherhood posted about an article she read on MSNBC about the 12 most germy places. It’s a quick study in epidemiology and where we pick up the germs that make us sick.
A few interesting entries were a wet load of laundry, women’s purses and playgrounds. It’s definitely quick read.

Kevin Federline top ‘cad to dad’

Kevin Federline topped a recent In Touch Weekly poll of the most reformed badboys-become-fathers. As to the reason why K-Fed came in number one, once it became apparent how much of a wing-nut/loser/terrible mother Britney Spears was, he really stepped up his parenting.
To be perfectly frank, I was not quite sure what a ‘cad’ was […]

GPS jackets for kids

This one may be somewhat similar to bulletproof backpacks, but British clothing maker Bladerunner is marketing kids GPS (global positioning system) jackets which allow parents to track their kids’ whereabouts.
This article describes how the jacket can be used to enforce a ‘geo-fence’ which alerts you when your child leaves a certain location via email or […]

Curt Schilling still saves a seat for dad

As the Red Sox roll towards the World Series, I thought I would share this article about pitcher Curt Schilling’s relationship with his father before his passing.
Schilling and his father were very close and his dad actually never got to see him into the majors. However, Schilling owes much of his personal and professional […]
